Whilst inVita intelligence is a new company, our journey began in November 1997 when Dr Mark Sullivan, at that time a local GP, founded INRstar to better manage patient’s anticoagulation therapy. Over the years, INRstar evolved into the UK’s leading anticoagulation company providing a complete anticoagulation service for the induction, dosing, review and connected self-care of patients on both warfarin and direct oral anticoagulant drugs (DOACs/NOACs) to over 3,000 anticoagulation centres.

With INRstar part of the inVita intelligence portfolio, together with an experienced and diverse management team, we are well placed to continue the journey adding new digital healthcare solutions across different disease states enabling  more people to manage their health and achieve better outcomes.

    Founder & CEO

    Michael Nicholls, the Founder and CEO of inVita intelligence, with a strong track record of leadership and technological expertise in the healthcare industry. With over 15 years of experience in healthcare technology, Michael has been instrumental in driving transformative change and delivering solutions to improve patient outcomes.

    As part of the founding team of INRstar, Michael played a key role in developing technology that transformed the management of anticoagulation. His deep understanding of the intersection between technology and healthcare drove the success of INRstar and laid the foundation for his future endeavours.

    Michael's experience in the healthcare technology industry also includes key leadership roles at LumiraDx, as Vice President of Commercial Instrument R&D, Head of Enterprise Solutions, & Head of Platform Development & Technical Operations where he led the system implementation and development of comprehensive healthcare solutions. Michael's contributions to the healthcare industry have paved the way for advanced approaches to improve clinical outcomes and reshape the healthcare experience.

    Dr. Mark Sullivan is a leader and co-founder of inVita intelligence as well as the founding force behind INRstar, an innovative solution that has transformed anticoagulation management within the healthcare setting. With over 30 years of experience as a General Practitioner (GP), Dr. Sullivan has dedicated his career to improving patient outcomes in healthcare.

    In 1997, Dr. Sullivan founded INRstar with a clear vision of empowering healthcare teams and enhancing patient care through efficient and effective anticoagulation management. His pioneering work in developing a user-friendly and comprehensive solution has transformed the way anticoagulation is managed, benefiting countless patients and healthcare professionals alike. Dr. Sullivan's founding vision of INRstar will continue to shape the future of healthcare.

    Co-Founder, Chairman & Chief Scientific Officer

    Dr. Nigel Lindner is a distinguished leader in the healthcare industry, serving as the co-founder, Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer of inVita intelligence. With a unique blend of scientific, research and development (R&D), managerial, and commercial expertise, Dr. Lindner plays a pivotal role in guiding the strategic direction and scientific excellence of the company.

    Dr. Lindner's remarkable career spans various industries, including professional and consumer diagnostics, as well as FMCG firms. He has held senior management positions, including CEO of Swiss Precision Diagnostics, Chief Innovation Officer at LumiraDx, Vice President Global R&D at Alere, and key strategic roles at Unilever R&D. Throughout his career, he has been instrumental in delivering breakthrough products and driving transformative advancements in the healthcare sector.

    In his role as Chief Scientific Officer, Dr. Lindner combines his scientific expertise with strategic insights to shape the research and development efforts of inVita intelligence.   • Dr. Robert Treharne Jones

    Clinical Excellence, Marketing & Communications

    Dr Robert Treharne Jones bought his first computer, a Sinclair ZX Spectrum, in 1983, and has since spent his entire career finding ways to allow the new technologies to create improvements in medical care.

    After his practice became fully computerised in 1988, Dr Treharne Jones started offering consultancy services for GPs across the country, as well as bespoke utilities to improve the user interface, and was subsequently appointed as a consultant to one of the UK’s leading GP computer systems

    In 1996 Dr Treharne Jones became one of the founder directors of INRstar in partnership with Dr Mark Sullivan and, as sales and marketing director, grew the company to become the UK market leader, with a patient database of 350,000 anticoagulation patients. Following the acquisition of INRstar by LumiraDx Dr Treharne Jones was invited to continue as Clinical Director of the new organisation, with primary responsibility for training and clinical supervision.

    In 2016 Dr Treharne Jones was created a Fellow of the British Computer Society, to recognise his outstanding achievements and contributions to information technology. Two years later he was elected a Fellow of the Faculty of Clinical lnformatics to recognise his major contribution to the advancement of clinical informatics and his leadership in the field.

    Dr Treharne Jones brings a wealth of clinical experience and technical expertise to his new role at inVita intelligence, where he will have key responsibilities in marketing and communications, as well as having oversight of clinical excellence, maintaining the company’s links with key opinion leaders, and providing valuable clinical backup to the support team.
